Gym Leader Rematches

Like a few past Pokemon games, Pokemon HeartGold and SoulSilver allow you to rebattle gym leaders! The difference here is they are more time-dependant, and you must first find a gym leader and get their PokeKlink number before you can rebattle them. Their teams are far stronger than their original ones, although this guide won't spoil the surprise for you. After organizing a rematch through the phone, a gym leader will appear in Saffron City's old Fighting Dojo, where the battle is held.

A nice feature is that the gym leaders don't leave the gym until you beat them! You can always come back later, or even wait until another gym leader accepts your battle before you even go to the gym. Each day, there are different gym leaders who either leave their gym or are open for rematches, which this guide illustrates.

	Pryce Leaves his Gym During the morning, between 6 AM and 10 AM, Pryce can be found at the Lake of Rage. To find him, you'll need to use Surf near the lake where the red Gyarados once appeared, and head west. He's standing on a small grassy area just in front of the flooded-out part of the Lake of Rage.
	Lt. Surge Leaves his Gym After you catch or defeat Zapdos, Lt. Surge shows up just outside the Power Plant between 9 AM and 12 PM every day. You must first show him a Pikachu. After that, he will give you his number, allowing you to call for a rematch.
	Brock Leaves his Gym Between 12 PM and 3 PM, Brock leaves his gym in Pewter City to Diglett's Cave. The most convenient way to reach him is to get a Pokemon with Cut to cut down the shrub right next to the northern exit of Viridian City, and go inside Diglett's Cave.
	Whitney Leaves her Gym Every afternoon between 12 PM and 4 PM, Whitney also leaves her gym. She can be found on the 6th floor of the Goldenrod Dept. Store to the far west near a small diner-like area. Speak to her to get her number.
	Jasmine Leaves her Gym Every afternoon between 1 PM and 2 PM, Jasmine goes to the Olivine Dining Room just next to the Pokemon Center in Olivine City. This is a short window of time, but this happens every day, giving you many opportunities to catch her.
	Misty Leaves her Gym Misty goes to the Route 25 cape every evening between 4 PM and 6 PM. You must first capture Suicune for her to show, however.
	Janine Leaves her Gym Janine can be found near the Route 22 entrance of the Victory Road four-way terminal every evening between 4 PM and 6 PM.

	Rematch with Erika On Sunday mornings, Erika is available for a rematch.
	Erika Leaves her Gym On Sunday afternoons between 3 PM and 5 PM, Erika leaves her gym. She can be found talking to Jasmine just outside the Celadon City water fountain.
	Rematch with Sabrina On Sunday afternoons, Sabrina is available for a rematch.
	Rematch with Blue On Sunday nights, Blue is available for a rematch.

	Rematch with Pryce On Monday mornings, Pryce is available for a rematch.
	Falkner Leaves his Gym All day Monday, Falkner is away from his gym. To find him, you'll have to go to Celadon City, where he is chatting with Janine on the fourth floor of the Celadon Dept. Store. Speak to him to get his number.
	Rematch with Janine On Monday afternoons, Janine is available for a rematch.
	Morty Leaves his Gym Every Monday during the day time, Morty leaves his gym. He can be found just outside the Tin Tower in the autumn-like path.

	Blaine Leaves his Gym All day on Tuesday, Blaine goes to the original Cinnabar Island location to reminisce of what it once used to be.
	Rematch with Blaine The same afternoon, Blaine is also available for a rematch. Call him to arrange one.
	Rematch with Morty On Tuesday nights, Morty is open for a rematch.

	Rematch with Misty Misty is available for a rematch every Wednesday morning.
	Rematch with Jasmine On Wednesday afternoons, you can call Jasmine to arrange a rematch.
	Rematch with Chuck On Wednesday nights, Chuck emerges from his gym to offer a rematch.

	Bugsy Leaves his Gym All day Thursday, Bugsy can be found in the Viridian Forest. He is near the southern part of the forest, looking at a tree.
	Rematch with Bugsy On Thursday afternoons, Bugsy is available for a rematch.

	Sabrina Leaves her Gym All day on Friday, Sabrina can be found in Olivine City, just outside the SS Anne. You will have to speak to the sailor and go through the admission booth to access her.
	Rematch with Lt. Surge On Friday afternoons, Lt. Surge is available for a rematch.
	Rematch with Clair On Friday nights, Clair is free for a rematch.

	Rematch with Falkner On Saturday mornings, Falkner is open for a rematch.
	Erika Leaves her Gym Again on Saturdays, between 3 PM and 5 PM, Erika leaves her gym for the fountain in Celadon City. She also appears on Sundays at this time.
	Rematch with Whitney Whitney is available for a rematch on Saturday afternoons.
	Rematch with Brock On Saturday nights, Brock is free for a rematch.

To get Chuck's number, you must talk to his wife who is outside of his gym in Cianwood City, as he does not leave his gym at all. For Blue's number, you must first show a Pokemon with maximum happiness to Daisy, Blue's sister, after you let her massage your Pokemon 5 times. In order to do this, you must visit her house between 3 PM and 4 PM on any day.
